In Lancer, click Connect to Slackbot.
Select the Slack workspace you want to link (e.g., your test workspace).
Click Allow to grant permissions.
Setting Up Channels
If some Slack channels don’t appear in Lancer:
Open Slack in the selected workspace.
Go to the desired channel → View Channel Details → Integrations.
Add the Lancer app to that channel.
Refresh Lancer’s notification settings, and the channel should now appear for selection.
Managing Notifications
You can connect multiple Slack channels for different campaigns.
Choose which notifications you want to receive in each channel (e.g., new leads, proposal status).
Reconnecting Slack (Lancer's Slack app has moved)
Lancer's Slack app has moved to a new one. If you see a Reconnect Slack notice on your campaign's Slack notifications card, or receive a Reconnect message in your Slack channel or by email, reconnect once to keep notifications and the approve, edit, hold and reject buttons working.
Click Reconnect Slack (in Lancer or in the message).
Approve the new app in Slack for the same workspace.
You'll land on a "Slack reconnected" page. Your workspace and each campaign's channel stay the same.
Only the owner of your Lancer organization can reconnect. If you're not the owner, send them the link.
If you have several Slack workspaces connected, reconnect each one that is still on the old app.
If Slack connected a different workspace than the link was for, try again and pick the workspace where Lancer posts your alerts. Your current setup keeps working until you reconnect.
Private channels: after reconnecting, if Lancer says it can't post in a private channel, type
/invite @Lancerin that channel.
Disconnecting or uninstalling Slack
When you disconnect Slack from the last campaign that uses a workspace connection, Lancer also revokes its access to that Slack workspace and removes the connection. Notifications for that campaign stop.
If you uninstall the Lancer app from your Slack workspace (or its access is revoked in Slack), Lancer removes the workspace's connection automatically and switches off Slack notifications for the campaigns that used it, the same as a manual disconnect. To resume, connect Slack again from the campaign's notification settings.
Installing from the Slack Marketplace
You can also install Lancer from the Slack Marketplace without being signed in to Lancer. After you approve the app in Slack, you're sent to Lancer to sign in or sign up. Once you're signed in, Lancer connects the Slack workspace to your organization automatically and shows a Slack workspace connected message.
The link is remembered in your browser for 7 days, so it survives sign-up, email verification and onboarding. Use the same browser to finish.
Only the owner of your Lancer organization can complete this step. If you aren't the owner, ask the owner to sign in to Lancer on this browser.
Then open a campaign's Notifications tab and pick the workspace from the dropdown of Slack workspaces already connected to your organization, then choose a channel. If you have no campaigns yet, the workspace will be waiting there when you set up notifications on your first campaign.
If the link expired, or Lancer couldn't reach the Slack workspace, connect Slack again from a campaign's Notifications tab.
If the Slack workspace is already linked to another Lancer organization, it won't be connected to a second one.
